Appointment Information

How long is a standard consultation?

Our standard appointment is 15 minutes.
 
Non-standard consultations include Driver's Medicals, Medical Assessments (eg pre-employment), and procedures.  Please notify our booking staff so we can make the correct booking for you.
 
If you have several health matters to discuss with your clinician or think you may need longer please mention this to our staff when you are making your appointment. We can arrange for a longer appointment to ensure you have enough time with your clinician to discuss your health needs.
 
Please note that additional consultation fees will apply.

Making an appointment

You can book your standard 15 minute GP/NP appointment via myIndici.  If you require a special appointment such as a Drivers Medical or biopsy or extended consult, please phone us to make your booking.

Can I bring a support person to my appointment?

Yes, we understand you may feel more comfortable if you bring along a support person to your appointments.  You are welcome to request a chaperone for any appointment or examination

Making Payment

We appreciate payment on the day of your doctors consultation or treatment. 
 

Your health and well-being is important to us.  If for any reason you are concerned about how you will pay for your medical care at Thrive please talk to staff at reception and they will be able to talk you through the options available.


You can pay your medical costs by cash, EFTPOS or with a VISA or Mastercard credit card. You can also set-up an automatic payment to help manage the payment of your medical costs.

Prescriptions

Yes there is a $19.50 charge for standard repeat prescriptions with 48 hours notice.  Urgent same-day scripts are $25.

Referrals written outside of the consult time are an additional $25.

Is there a charge for repeat prescriptions or referral letters?

What if I need a repeat prescription?

To request a repeat prescription please go to MyIndici or phone 072429299

If a repeat prescription can be issued without you needing a clinician’s consultation, the prescription will be emailed to a pharmacy of your choice within 48 hours of requesting it.

 

If you need a consultation to have the prescription issued, a nurse will call you to book this.

Patients who take long term medications will need at least one annual medical review by their doctor, most will need a medical review six monthly and some three monthly or even monthly.  Please discuss the frequency of your medical reviews with your Practitioner at your next appointment.

How do I find out test results?

If you have a login for myindici you will be able to see your test results online. 

We will contact you if any of your results require action or follow-up

Can I access my medical records?

We offer access to your medical records through the patient portal myindici. If you have any queries about accessing or to request a logon to myindici please talk to one of our helpful receptionists.
