Urgent walk-in clinic 

We offer an urgent walk-in clinic Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 10:00am.

As spaces are limited, we recommend arriving as close to 8:30am as possible.

What is the walk-in clinic for?

Our walk-in clinic is designed for urgent health concerns that require same-day assessment. If your concern is not urgent, you may be asked to book a routine appointment for another day.

 

Services not available through the walk-in clinic

The walk-in clinic does not provide:

• Driver Licence Medicals

• WINZ Medical Certificates

• ACC Medicals

• Routine repeat prescriptions

What to expect

You will initially be triaged by one of our experienced nurses. In some cases, the nurse may be able to manage your concern without the need for you to see a GP, Nurse Practitioner, or our Extended Care Paramedic.

Our clinical team will focus on addressing your urgent health concern for that day. If you have additional long-term or non-urgent health issues, you may be asked to book a separate routine appointment to discuss these.

Please note that you will not be able to choose which clinician you see, as our team works on a roster that changes from day to day.

Fees

Our nursing team works under established clinical policies and Standing Orders, allowing them to provide safe and effective care within their scope of practice.

The walk-in clinic fee remains the same, regardless of whether you are seen by:

• A nurse only, or

• A nurse followed by a GP, Nurse Practitioner, or our Extended Care Paramedic

• The same applies to casual patients seen in the walk-in. A standard rate of $103 applies regardless of whether you see a nurse only, or a nurse followed by a GP, Nurse Practitioner, or our Extended Care Paramedic

• For casual patients aged 6-17 years old, the fee is reduced to $72

• For casual patients aged 0-5 years old, the fee is further reduced to $40
